History

Inland Gothic No. 6, Unknown Designer, for Inland ( 1895 )

ToMist echoes from the early models of the first sans-serif typefaces designed in the late 19th century which lead the way to new design features like uniform stroke width and lack of serif endings. This period gave rise to all sorts of experimentation in the lettershapes by means of transitioning from contrasted decorative models to neutral and geometric letters. ToMist is based on a sample of the Inland Gothic No. 6 ( 1895 ), a font designed before the advent of sans-serifs for which the author is unknown. The typeface therefore embeds a series of bold drawings choices which make it stand out of the contemporary sans-serifs fonts. Not only is the contrast marked in the design of the letters but also the reparation of the weight is unconventional for some lowercase such as the « f » or the « j ». In its singular medium cut, ToMist performs very nicely in small sizes as well as on covers in large setting. Designed between 2019–2021, first released in 2019.

Misting your indoor plants at night or even just in the afternoon won’t make or break them if it’s a one-off. For best results, work your way through the plant, being sure to lightly mist each leaf on the top and then the bottom. Misting plants temporarily increases humidity around the plant, but won’t have much impact on the humidity in the rest of your home. Spraying water on plant leaves by misting them can definitely help your plant thrive. [ Houseplant Resource Center ]
