History

Square Gothic, Robert Wiebking for Ludlow ( 1922 )

ToMute is based on a sample from Square Gothic by Robert Wiebking for Ludlow ( 1922 ). The typeface aims at proposing a modest, neutral but useful alphabet in the context of contemporary rush for eccentric lettershapes. Its uniform stroke and neutral proportions make ToMute a good standard of balance for everyday use, in body copy as well as in poster printing. The minimalism of its drawings make it an unobtrusive font to convey every message in any context. Structured as a single cut, ToMute performs well across all the sizes of the spectrum. Designed between 2015–2019, first released in 2015.
