The client owns the license, not the designer

Font licenses are owned and paid for by the Client for whom the fonts are being used and not by the Designers working for them. If a Designer is using ToSupply fonts for multiple Clients, each of those clients needs to have their own license. The license fees are one time fees.

The price is proportional to the size of the company

Since the value brought by fonts grows symetrically with the size of the businness, the total number of employees in the company (=the company size ) is the only metric required in order to calculate licenses prices. No information about desktop users, web traffic of application download is required.

A few examples. For big companies and institutions: the company size includes every employees from the direction board to the shareholders to managers and interns of every department. It usually results in a high number, reason why the unlimited licence makes more sense in that scenario. For mid-sized companies and institutions: the company size includes every employees from directors to managers to interns, not only the communication department. In case of a self-initiated project for a design studio: the company size includes every employees from designers to admins to interns, etc. In case of a self-initiated for a single individual: the company size equals one.
